Where To Find The Best Flight Simulator For Mac Operating Systems

When you want to find popular software for Macintosh computers, especially flight simulators, you may have a lot of work and frustration ahead of you. I certainly did. I switched from Windows to Macintosh about two months ago, and I couldn’t be more pleased with my decision to make the switch. There was one sticking point though, and that was the fact that many games and software products aren’t designed to work on a mac.

Maybe you’ve experienced the same thing, and if you’re a devoted pilot like I am, you’ve probably spent some money on a flight simulator before. I am pretty critical when I’m looking for a flight simulator, and I’ve spent hundreds of dollars trying to find the right one. In the past, I’ve played and owned simulators that were “okay” but nothing more.

Coincidentally, a friend recently told me about something that he found (not in popular retail stores) that works well with his MacBook. Naturally, I was skeptical at first because the majority of companies out there that make software completely ignore the large (and growing) Apple user base. This is a shame, because they could provide a lot more value for a ton more people by doing so.

My friend let me demo his flight simulator (he also used a Macbook), and my first thought was how smooth the gameplay was. Unlike many other simulators that I tried before, this one didn’t seem to clog up the computer’s memory, even though my friend had a 3 year old laptop computer. Quite honestly this was the most thrilled I’ve been about flight simulators that will work on my Mac.

Soon after I began my journey with this new flight simulator. I must admit that it took a while for the game to download, but in comparison to the time it would take to have it delivered, or to pick it up at the store, this was nothing. Soon thereafter I was playing a high quality simulator on my Mac. I almost couldn’t believe it.
