The Classic Card Game: Klondike Solitaire

There are many games that have come and gone, but few are more popular than the game of solitaire. There are literally millions of people who play the game on a daily basis in all corners of the globe. Most people play it on their computers, while there are some who enjoy playing it with a deck of cards. Klondike solitaire is a slight variety on the standard version of the game.

Despite the slight variations the game is played in the same way. When playing Klondike Solitaire there would be stacks of cards in front of you. They would be stacked from small groups up to large groups from left to right. On each stack only the top card would be exposed.

If you want to see the next card you would need to move the top card. To move a card between the stacks you would need to find a card of the opposite color and with a value one higher to put it on. What this means is that you would need to stack black on red cards and then vice versa. What you need to try and do is to try and move all of the cards up to the top four slots eventually. Each of these slots are meant to house a different suit.

The cards you move into the top spots should all be of the same suit and you stack them starting with the Aces, then work through the numbers and end with the Kings. If you get all of the cards into those top four blocks, you would have finished the game. If you want to make the cards into some of the spaces that open up in the playing area, you can only do it if the stack you are moving starts with a King. If you need extra options, select cards from the deck in the top left corner.

To get better at Klondike solitaire you just need to play it more often. There are however a few common pitfalls that we would like to point out to you. This might help you to progress a little easier when playing the game. During the game you should not try to move the cards up into the four open slots too quickly as you might need some of these cards to complete later combinations. If spaces open up and you can move stacks into those space, then you should do so in order for you to open up more options.
