The 3D Playstation Headwear

During the CES 2011 in Vegas, we were shown a lot of new and groundbreaking ideas for upcoming gadgets. This year the most interesting product was from a Japanese company, and was a 3D headset for the Sony ps3. Currently the 3D technology is more accessible to the masses and is becoming more popular fast, the only problem is that it is still pretty expensive. Several companies have been working with Sony and the PS3 to offer gamers a cheaper alternative.

A 3D headset to the PS3 The PS3 3D headset is a device that has visor-glasses with built-in headphones. On the inside of the product are two displays to be addressed both in combination and with a 3 dimensional image. According to the manufacturer Sony, it is also compatible for eyeglass wearers. Sony President Hiroshi Yoshioka has confirmed that the PS3 3D headset should work with games like Gran Turismo 5 already. The headphones are designed to provide perfect sound with the built-in microphone it can be used as a conventional headset too.

So far, the PS 3 headset still in the early phase and the we merely got to try a prototype. Even the manufacturers have only been able to try out a prototype as no final version are available for sale yet. We can also expect some other similar version from many more companies in the next year. This new technology is still in its childhood and there are still plenty of room for improvements.

Results of the 3D PS3 Headset The Playstation 3 3D headset is definitely a cheap alternative to the 3D shutter glasses we know from television. In addition to a pair of 3D glasses you also get a microphone and headphones integrated. The images are projected directly onto the retina and are thus bypassing the need to purchase a 3D-capable TV. Although so far no price has been provided by the manufacturer, it has said in advance that the PS3 3D headset is to be sold cheap making it an attractive gadget aimed at the younger gamers market.

Hopefully this will not affect quality to much. However, one should remember that the human eye is first now being exposed for games in 3D as this is a brand new technology. Therefore, one must first get used to this form which can easily take a few days before you will feel relaxed playing games in 3D. Nevertheless, the device is a nice innovation, which will surely be very interesting to many gamers all over the world.
