San Antonio Spurs

San Antonio Spurs have really something to celebrate. They have really done well in the last decade. Since 1999, they were the winners of four NBA championships. And in the last few years, they have played a very good defensive. They lost to the Dallas Mavericks in the playoffs (the first round). However, they have won the Southwest Division in 08-09.

Tim Duncan had his typical season. He had 10 rebounds and averaged 19 points per game. Manu Ginobili wasn’t such a factor however. He only played 44 games in the season. Well, Tony Parker hasn’t disappointed anyone. He has continued to be the best point guard in the NBA. He made 6 assists and averaged 16 points per game. His highest scoring average in his whole career was 22 points per game.

The Spurs have had an aging problem. From the last season, everyone is getting older. The Spurs need to find some younger members. Richard Jefferson did make them look younger. He is a new player there and he is generally very good. He can contribute to the Spurs in all areas of the game. He will do very good for the Spurs this season.

Roger Mason Junior has done very well by averaging 12 points per game. He has been applauded by everyone. Remember that he was entering his fifth season. The Spurs have picked DeJuan Blair from the college draft. They liked how he played at Pitt. His career has started in the positive direction.

What the Spurs need to do is get some more younger members in the game. Also, they need to be in very good shape at the end of the regular season. Most feel that they will be good in making the playoffs. In order to increase their chances, Duncan, Parker, Jefferson and Ginobili need to be more than ready.
