Dominating the Starcraft 2 Ladders as Terran

Understand what each unit can attack and what they are capable of. Zerg players have the option of getting units known as infestors. These have an ability known as fungal growth that is very effective against lots of infantry units like marines so be careful and counter it by getting ghosts that can send them an EMP shot that will make their ability temporarily unavailable.

Knowing techniques like these are important because chances are you will be up against something like that. It is important to counter your opponent’s moves and also stay a step ahead of them. Be the aggressive player that controls the outcome of the game. There are lots of elements of the game to get down.

There are lots of units to go for and different strategies. But at the end of the game you need to know what your opponent is going for so it is very important to scout with one of your units and scout frequently. The Terran has great scouting techniques such as being able to lift off a production building and fly it over the opponent’s base.

Understand what each unit does well against. Each unit is effective to some units and weak against others. For example Terran marauders work well against stalkers but are not good against void rays since they cannot attack air units.

Always remember that you should never be reliable to one Starcraft 2 Terran strategy as you will have to change it up in order to counter your opponent effectively. It takes a lot of time and patience to be a great player so hang in there.
