Is It Enjoyable To Watch Movies On A Mobile Device

I used to get a great buzz from the thoughts of watching TV shows and movies on my mobile device. Boredom would be a thing of the past with this futuristic way of watching my movies. Now that we can watch our favourite shows and the latest movies this way it is a bit of an anti-climax. The idea of it was much more exciting than the actual reality and I’ll be honest that I really think the cons are starting to outweigh the benefits. I don’t actually think that watching things while is on the move is a great idea anymore although occasionally it is nice. The following are some of the reasons why I find the whole idea of watching TV shows and movies on my mobile device a bit of a let down.

- The size of the screen is way too small. Although I am aware that the newest mobile device – the iPad – will make it easier because it has a larger screen but at the end of the day this is hardly a true example of a mobile device. You would not really get away with sneaking an iPad into the loo during work to have a quick peek at the football. When you watch a movie on a mobile device, you tend to miss a lot of the action because the screen size is so small and yet watching it again on a full size television is something that a lot of people won’t do because they know the story again.

- There is so much going on when you are travelling which can make it harder to concentrate on watching movies or TV shows. It can become quite frustrating to try and watch a little screen with everything else going on around you and muggers will see you as a target.

- It costs too much money to legally watch shows and movies on a portable device.
