Games for the Spanish Language
Many children these days are learning Spanish in school through worksheets and books. Unfortunately children don’t learn very well this way. Children a naturally allured by games, music and dancing. So with any other learning activity, these are the best ways to teach your child Spanish. Here are a few games you can play with your child as early as the age of three!
B.I.N.G.O. isn’t just a game for elders to enjoy. Kids typically love this game because it is just so much fun to scream BINGO! You can make your own bingo sheet and use Spanish numbers and letters. This is a great tool to teach slightly older children how to spell and pronounce the numbers in Spanish or any other new language.
Teaching your child to sing songs in both English and Spanish is also a fun way to spend quality time with your child while teaching them something imperative! Children naturally flock to song and dance, so they won’t even know that they are learning something! Songs like “Old MacDonald” are great for this activity, as you can introduce new barn yard animals that they may not be familiar with yet.
Here are a few more ideas: * Matching games with pictures and colors is a fun game that is great to teach at the age of three, but can be taught to any child who is beginning to speak. You can make your own or there are an abundance of Spanish matching games in the stores! * Learn to sing your child’s favorite songs in Spanish and every night sing them both ways before they go to sleep. Pretty soon they will be singing it with you and you can move on to a new song!
