Additionally, the burned copy can be used regularly, while the master is stored away in a safe place. Bottom line: there is no lawful punishment for burning Wii games. The United States Government is not going to come knocking on on your back door, or fine you millions of dollars.
There is, however, an issue to address if you wish to find out how to copy Wii games. You need to use a software program that will erase any copyright licenses. The manufacturers put these restrictions on the games, to try to stop the user from backing up the games and selling or giving them to friends.
Of course, game companies like to try to keep people from copying games. But they’ll never be 100% successful when someone is determined to get around the encryption. Their encryption of games is legal – they are within their rights to do it – but you are just as much within legal boundaries when you strip the encryption off.
